Using Scythes
There's something rhythmically soothing about watching a scythe, I imagine using one gives much the same feeling but with more satisfaction.
Although we won't be growing grains until at least the 2nd year, we are very interested in low-tech elegant solutions. Using a scythe to cut the grain and even to mow (when the goats not around) seems to fit that description. It may be somewhat redundant, but if done properly is not very physically demanding and we imagine it is very satisfying work.
