I would hope that the EU would aim for more than 20% by 2020, but it's moving in the right direction. They briefly discuss all the major forms of renewable energy with the notable exception of tidal and wave energy.

Algae Bio Fuels
The more we learn about this form of algae biofuel, the more excited we are about it. There are available DIY plans to make home algae "bioreactors". We'll be doing more research, but we hope this could one day solve our power needs or at least our transportation fuel needs.
Bio Gas Digester
Although this guy has access to relatively large amounts of chicken manure, he's also powering everything on the farm with it. We would likely just be using biogas for cooking fuel as a small biodigester outside the house could easily produce enough gas for that house using just the kitchen scraps. It kind of reminds me of Back to the Future 2 when the Doc has converted the time machine to run on garbage.
