Welcome to the learning center. Here you can find information on many environmentally friendly self-sufficiency and homesteading techniques and skills that we will be putting into practice at Maya Creek.
The overview section discusses the various aspects of self-sufficient and indefinetly sustainable lifestyles as well as videos related to each topic. The tutorials section has videos and guides to the more hands-on techniques and applications of these different topics and the resources section will have further links, books, and other types of resources for more in-depth information.
We currently have no workshops or classes scheduled at this time, but we will likely be holding several workshops or work parties in the Summer of 2009 on straw bale construction, solar hot water heating, solar power, and possibly organic gardening. Once these have been posted you will be able to register and pay for them through this website.
